Staff Selection Commission (SSC CGL ) Coaching

SSC CGL:

Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level exam (SSC CGL) is conducted by SSC to fill the posts of officers, assistants, Junior Statistical officer, Auditor for CAG (Comptroller and Auditor general of India), Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Central Service Secretariat, Ministry of Railway, Ministry of External Affairs CBI, etc.

SSC CHSL:

Staff Selection Commission – Combined Higher Secondary Level exam (SSC CHSL) is conducted by SSC to fill the posts of Lower division clerks (LDC), Data entry operators (DEO), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA).

SSC MTS:

Staff Selection Commission – Multitasking Staff exam (SSC MTS) is conducted by SSC to fill Grade C level posts. The jobs involved will be that of a peon, waterman, watchman etc. Basically the job will be to assist in non-clerical work like physical maintenance of records, photocopying, dusting, etc. in a government office.

SSC Junior Engineer:

It is conducted by SSC for the posts of junior engineers in the government.

SSC CPO (SI):

Staff Selection Commission- Central Police Organization (sub-inspector) is the exam conducted by SSC for the post of Sub-Inspector in various Central Government Police Organizations like ITBP, CRPF, CBI, CISF, BSF, etc.

 SSC CGL Exam Pattern.

 

The Combine graduate level exam consists of 4 phases:
Tier I : Multiple choice questions (online)

Tier II: Multiple choice questions (online)

Tier III: Descriptiveexam in Hindi/English

Tier IV: Computer Proficiency Test (Only for certain posts)

 

Tier I:

Tier I is mandatory for all posts and has its own cut off which needs to be cleared to proceed to Tier II.

The exam will be of 1 hourand the marking scheme is such that, 2 Marks will be given for every right answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted from the total score, for every wrong answer (+2 and -0.5).

Tier II:

Tier II consists of 2 exams, taken on the same day. There is also an additional exam for the post of JSO and AAO.

The marking scheme remains the same +2 and -0.5. Both the exams in Tier II will be of 2 hours each.

Tier III:

Tier III is descriptive exam taken in Hindi or English language. It would include essay writing, Letter writing, Precis writing etc. The maximum marks for SSC CGL Tier III will be 100 and the duration of the exam will be 1 hour.

Tier IV:

Tier IV is to be given only for the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS and MEA. It is a computer proficiency test where the candidate will be tested upon his skill in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The test duration is 45 Minutes.

 

Eligibility for SSC CGL

  • For CGL the minimum qualification is a graduate degree from any recognized university/college in India.
  • The candidate should be a citizen of INDIA or NEPAL or BHUTAN.
  • The age limits are different for different posts.
